Frequently Asked Questions & Policies
What is your cancellation policy?

A 24-hour notice is required to cancel an appointment. Unless an urgent matter makes notification impossible, the regular fee will be charged for missed appointments or cancellations with less than 24-hours notice. Please note: direct billing (through 3rd party payer or extended health benefits) is unavailable for missed appointments or late cancellations.
Do you offer direct billing?

Yes. I can directly bill insurance through the Telus eClaims, ProviderConnect, and ExpressScripts (i.e. Indigenous Services Canada Non-Insured Health Benefits program) platforms.
Can you provide a diagnosis?
-
No. I am not qualified to provide a mental health diagnosis.
Do you offer in-person services?
-
No, my counselling practice is telehealth only.
I live outside of Newfoundland or will be travelling outside of the province, am I able to avail of this service?
-
I am licensed to practice as a Social Worker in Newfoundland and Labrador (NLCSW #4111) and electronic practice as a Social Worker in Ontario (OCSWSSW #857387). If you are residing in either province, you can avail of my services.
Can I access my counselling records?

Generally speaking, my clients are able to request access or edits to their personal health information and clinical notes that I keep on file. However, every situation is unique, and the specific details for access and edits must be discussed case by case.
